Hilltop rained out, Moler and Midway still ON for the Independent Racing Series

MILLERSBURG, OH (July 4, 2008)—What a way to bring in the Fourth of July Holiday Weekend, two rain outs in a row, the fifth and sixth of the season for the Independent Racing Series.

After being rained out on Thursday Night July 3^rd at Jim Nier’s KC Raceway for the annual the ‘Night the Stars Come Out’ event, officials from the Independent Racing Series along with officials from Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, OH have also postponed the $5,000 to win event scheduled for Friday Night July 4^th until it’s new date of Friday Night August 15^th due to heavy rains.

Lots of rain had already fallen on the facility located just north of Millersburg, OH at the Hilltop Speedway and more rain is forecasted throughout the day.

The events on Saturday Night July 5^th at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH are still on as planned and the event at Midway Speedway on Sunday Night July 6^th is still on as well. The event at Moler Raceway Park will pay $5,000 to win and the event at the Midway Speedway will pay $7,000 to the winner of the ‘Jim Dunn Memorial’ race.
